Liberating Your Life

Where do we expend our energy? Are we using it to work hard to get a better lifestyle, look for the ‘elusive’ happiness or to cover up the truth? Are we busy ‘doing’ or are we actually ‘being’?

Is our life, environment or world what we want it to be or could it be better? If we wanted to change something what would it be and where would we start? Energy flows and vibrates within us. Whether that energy flows like a tap or a trickle depends on us.

The Dalai Lama visited New Zealand recently during his world tour to talk about happiness, spirituality, love and world peace. He says we have lost sight of our humanitarian values and sacrificed this in search of material development. That in itself is quite scary when you consider how small the world is and how terrorists can travel easily from one country to another, spreading their teachings and beliefs. Even our communities have different cultures and ideals.

We need to start thinking beyond ourselves and become aware of how we can influence and impact not only our own lives but the lives of those around us. The first step is to face up to our truths. We carry unnecessary burdens and often it’s the best choice we can make at that time. Sometimes those burdens cost us our relationships, friendships and even health. Over time we may even forget what they are but somehow it comes back to haunt us and often it shows up in how we react to things and in health issues. I believe that when we hold back we suppress our true selves, not only from ourselves but from others. This blocks our love and energy flow and restricts us in being able to attract positive energy and positive things into our lives.

Our other truths are our values, what we believe to be true. Our values act like our guiding principles in life. When we know our values and live by them, decisions are much easier and our energy flows more freely. This energy has a vibration to attract whatever you focus on – good and bad. Even your mere presence has a vibrational energetic impact. What do people sense about you, do you emanate love, peace, tranquility? What thoughts are going through your mind right now? Our feelings indicate whether we are sending positive or negative vibrations and these are attracted to similar energies.

So how can we translate this into creating a better world? We are global citizens and we all speak a global language. So we all have basic needs that we must fulfil to survive as human beings. These are food, water, shelter and safety from harm. Beyond this our higher self is looking for happiness and love. If we start from a place of love it will free us from fear and allow us to speak our truths and to see truths. If we look at the world, what are the truths – that the forests are dying, people are dying through wars, famine and that mankind has lost sight of the true pursuit of love and happiness.

We have the power to change our thoughts, feelings and actions at any moment and the only moment available to us is now. In my Reiki teachings we would sit together at the end of the evening and send loving thoughts to people around the world, knowing it would be received with love. How different the world might be if everyone did this.

I have found this a fascinating, enlightening and equally disturbing read. It left me with the questions, “Where does this knowledge and insight leave us in terms of the truth we are told and the energy expanded in dealing with environmental issues as if they were separate from us. What is the real truth?”

Dr Horawitz praises Dr Masaru Emoto for his incredible contribution to humanity by giving us the truth that the message from water is love.

“From Dr Emoto's work we are provided with factual evidence, that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water, the very same water that comprises over seventy percent of a mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet…Water has a very important message for us. Dr Horowitz’ work is synergistic with Dr Emoto’s. His research provides convincing evidence that makes one sit up and take notice. He says,

Take a moment to reflect on the impact you, simply through your way of being in the world, have on the collective health and well being of humanity and the survival of our planet. It is time to wake up. It is time to face our individual truth. It is time to make the shift from a fear-based existence to one of love and inspiration.

Being observant of your vibrational energy will give you an indication whether your impact is positive or negative. We have the power to change what we think and who we are being at any time. It is our way of being that will save or destroy our planet. What is your truth and where will you expend your precious energy?
